Carrie Bow - Utila
Carrie Bow is one of those Utila sites that reminds you why you came to the Caribbean. We often see green turtles here, sometimes just chilling on the sand, sometimes swimming right by, seemingly unbothered. Keep an eye out for the cleaning stations, especially for Pedersen shrimp and their gobie pals – it's a neat little show if you hover patiently. The site offers a good mix of reef and sand patches, perfect for spotting moray eels tucked into crevices or a southern stingray gliding across the bottom. If you’re lucky, a king mackerel might flash past, or an eagle ray could cruise by in the blue. It’s a solid, enjoyable dive for anyone looking for reliable reef action without too much fuss.
