HM FOUNDATION - Kenting National Park

The HM Foundation is a true wreck dive, not just a pile of rubble, and we think it’s one of Kenting's best. She was a cargo ship, torpedoed by a US submarine in World War II, and now she lies broken but largely intact in about 30 meters of water. Descending, you first see the outline, then the sheer scale of the ship emerges – her bow still points skyward, almost like a ghostly sentinel. We love exploring the cargo holds, sometimes finding schools of fusiliers so thick they block out the ambient light, shimmering like a silver curtain. Look closely on the hull for decorator crabs, camouflaged perfectly against the rusting metal, and we often spot lionfish tucked into crevices. This site suits divers comfortable with depth and overhead environments, offering plenty to discover for those who take their time.
