CITTA DI SANREMO - Naples & Campania
Alright, let's talk about the *Città di Sanremo*. Now, if you're picturing a deep, dramatic wreck dive, well, adjust your expectations. This isn't that. This wooden motor vessel sank in Procida Harbour back in '72, and the key thing to remember is she's *shallow*. Like, three metres shallow. That might sound a bit… underwhelming, but trust us, it’s actually what makes her so charming. We love the *Città di Sanremo* because she's incredibly accessible. You're practically snorkelling over a piece of history. The wreck itself is quite broken up now, scattered across the seafloor, but you can still make out her ribs and planks. Sunlight dapples through the water, illuminating the remains in a way you rarely see on deeper wrecks. Our favourite part? The sheer amount of life that calls this broken vessel home. Small octopus hide in crevices, schools of juvenile fish dart through the wooden fragments, and nudibranchs are always a good find if you take your time and really look. It’s a photographer's dream for wide-angle shots with natural light, or macro if you like hunting for the little critters. This site is perfect for newer divers getting their first taste of a wreck, or for experienced divers who just want a relaxed, easy dive with plenty to see without any pressure. Just be mindful of boat traffic in the harbour.
