COSTANTINO II - Naples & Campania
The Costantino II sits in a peculiar spot, almost daring you to look for it. It’s a shallow wreck, just 9 metres down, making it perfect for newer divers or those who love long bottom times. We've spent many an afternoon here, drifting slowly over her crumpled remains, tracing the outlines of what was once a grand ferry. What we love about Costantino II is how approachable it is. You get the thrill of a wreck dive without the narcosis or the chill of the deep. The light filters through, illuminating the schools of damselfish that dart in and out of the twisted metal. Look closely and you'll spot moray eels peeking from crevices, their heads swaying gently. The wreck itself is quite broken up, but you can still make out the general shape of the vessel, and there are some lovely swim-throughs if you're comfortable. It's not a site for big pelagics, but for a relaxing dive exploring history and discovering the small, clever critters that have made it home, it's our favourite in the area. Best visited on a calm day; the visibility really pops then.
