HASLAMAN I - Bodrum

Hasalaman I is a sleeper hit for us, especially if you’re into your history and a bit of light wreck penetration. This carrier vessel, sunk in 1988, rests on its starboard side at just 10 metres. It’s surprisingly intact for its age, with the deckhouse offering some easy swim-throughs – nothing too tight, just enough to feel like you’re exploring. We love the way the light filters through the upper sections, illuminating schools of small baitfish darting in and out of the structure. Look closely, and you’ll spot scorpionfish camouflaged on the hull, and often a grumpy moray eel peeking from a porthole. It’s a comfortable dive, perfect for those wanting to try wreck diving without deep commitments or strong currents. Our pick for a second dive of the day when you’re looking for something mellow and interesting.
