ST HILAIRE - New Brunswick & Bay of Fundy

The MV St. Hilaire sits upright in about 30 metres of water, a motor vessel that went down in 1970 after an engine room fire. It’s a respectable wreck at 22 metres long, offering some good penetration opportunities for trained wreck divers into the cargo holds and engine room. Expect to see wolfish lurking in shadowy nooks and often large schools of pollock circling the mast. The St. Hilaire makes for a solid dive, especially if you catch it on a day with decent visibility, which can be hit or miss in the Bay of Fundy. It’s a good one for advanced divers keen on getting acquainted with some colder water wreck diving without too much current.
