ABT Divers - Daymaniyat Islands
ABT Divers. It’s a strange name for a dive site, isn't it? But don’t let that throw you. This spot in the Daymaniyat Islands is a real favourite of ours, especially when the conditions are just right. We’ve had some cracking dives here. What we love about ABT Divers is the sheer variety packed into a relatively small area. You’ll find some seriously impressive coral structures, especially the porcelain and wrinkle corals, forming these intricate landscapes. Look closely, and you might spot a stargazer peeking out of the sand, or a hand-strapped crab scuttling across a rock. The reef here just hums with activity. We'd suggest taking it slow, really combing over the details. On one dive, we spent a solid five minutes just watching a seastar shrimp work its way across a pavona coral, completely oblivious to us. The cloth-of-gold cone snails are also worth searching for. Keep an eye on the currents here; they can pick up, but that often brings in the bigger stuff. We’ve seen some decent schools of surf redfish pushing through. It’s a site that rewards attentive diving, rather than just zooming past. For those who appreciate the smaller, more unusual reef residents and a healthy reef architecture, ABT Divers offers a genuinely engaging dive experience.
