Aquarium - Daymaniyat Islands
Aquarium on the Daymaniyat Islands really lives up to its name. It’s one of those spots where you can descend and instantly feel like you’ve been dropped into a well-stocked display tank. We love to just drift along the main reef wall, keeping an eye out for the smaller stuff. You’ll often find Ocellated Plesiops peeking out from under ledges, and the Common Hairy Crabs are always a treat if you have a keen eye. The corals here are fantastic, with big tables of Yellow Scroll Coral and intricate Pagoda Coral formations. It’s a great site for macro photographers, but also just for anyone who wants to take it slow and appreciate the sheer density of life. We’d suggest a morning dive, before the day boats get too busy, and try to find a spot with a gentle current to really savour the drift. Keep an eye out for the Armed Squirrel-fish – they’re surprisingly bold. You’ll be surrounded by schools of small fish, sometimes so thick you have to wave your hand to see through them. It’s a fantastic site for all skill levels, offering easy navigation and abundant, accessible marine life.
