Divemasters delight - Daymaniyat Islands
Divemasters Delight, what a name, and honestly, it lives up to it. This site, deep in the Daymaniyat Islands, is one of our favourites for a proper, relaxed exploration. We love just letting the current drift us along, checking out the wall that drops into the blue. The sheer density of hard corals here is genuinely impressive; you’ll see big patches of cactus coral and plenty of intricate porcelain corals. What really gets us though are the small things. Keep an eye out for the shy Cone Shell Hermit Crabs scuttling along the reef. We've often spotted loggerhead turtles cruising past, especially in the late morning, and the broomtail wrasse are almost always present, darting between the coral heads. It’s a site that rewards a slow pace, letting you really absorb the details. We'd suggest going a bit deeper on your first pass, then coming back up slowly, tracing the reef contour. This place is perfect for anyone who appreciates a healthy reef and enjoys spotting some of the more unusual critters.
