CM 02958 TS - Koh Tang & Offshore

CM 02958 TS, a fishing vessel, isn't your postcard-perfect reef, but we genuinely love this site for its grit and the way it tells a story. Dropping onto the wreck at a comfortable 13 metres, you're immediately struck by the sheer volume of fish. It’s not just a few stragglers; we’re talking about great shoals of yellowtail snapper and fusiliers that swirl around the remains of the superstructure, often so thick they dim the light. The wreck itself is pretty broken up, classified as dangerous in some parts, which means we’d suggest keeping a respectful distance from any obviously unstable sections. But there's still plenty to explore around the edges. Look closely into the shadowy spaces, and you'll often spot moray eels peering out, or the occasional blue-spotted stingray resting on the sand nearby. It’s a site that really shows you how quickly nature reclaims things. We’ve had some of our best photography sessions here, especially late morning when the sun angle catches the fish just right. This is a great spot for divers who appreciate the character of an artificial reef and enjoy watching active marine behaviour.
