Dive Tioman - Tioman Island

Dive Tioman is our go-to site when we’re on Tioman Island. It’s a solid pick for divers who enjoy a relaxed pace and appreciate the smaller stuff – think macro life and interesting reef formations rather than big pelagics. We’ve spent many a dive here just drifting over the gentle slopes, watching the resident clown anemonefish tending their sebae anemones, their bright orange fins a flash against the purple polyps. What makes it special for us is the sheer variety of corals. You’ll find some chunky honeycomb coral heads, delicate staghorn thickets, and beautiful bracket corals that provide endless nooks and crannies for creatures to hide. Look closely and you’ll often spot Indian Ocean pinstriped wrasse darting in and out, or a sleepy black-blotched wrasse tucked into a crevice. The fusiliers here often school so densely they create a shimmering wall of silver, a really lovely sight as the sun filters through. It’s generally a pretty calm site, making it ideal for photographers or newer divers getting comfortable with their buoyancy.
