Tokong Blinau - Tioman Island

Skinfel. Let's be honest, North Sea diving isn't always about technicolor corals, but Skinfel has a gritty charm we really appreciate. It’s not a deep dive, mostly staying within recreational limits, but don’t expect a gentle drift. The currents here can be lively, so we’d suggest timing your dive for slack tide if you want to properly poke around. What we love about Skinfel is the sheer density of life clinging to every rock and crevice. You’ll find thick carpets of blue mussels, absolutely covered in common sea stars. It’s like a living, breathing tapestry. We often spot common pipefish weaving through the kelp, and the long rough dabs are surprisingly inquisitive. Look closely, and you might even spot a sea mouse, those iridescent little oddballs. The visibility can be hit or miss, typical for the North Sea, but when it's good, seeing those massive schools of sprat shimmering in the green light is something else. This site really suits divers who appreciate the subtle beauty of temperate waters and don't mind a bit of a workout. It’s a proper dive, and we think it’s a standout for a reason.
