Deluna - Anilao

Deluna holds a special place for us in Anilao. It’s one of those sites that just consistently delivers. We love drifting the reef slope, watching the light play through the water, especially in the late morning. We’ve had incredible luck spotting the tiny Dwarf Atomgoby here, hunkered down in the sand, and the Speckled-fin Rockcod seems to pose for photos. The sheer variety of blennies and gobies is what really makes Deluna shine. Look closely on the rubble patches for the Ostrich Goby, or the vibrant flash of a Floral Wrasse darting past. The Bracket Coral formations are impressive, providing homes for a multitude of critters, including the Ghost Moray we once saw peeking from a crevice. This is a site for divers who appreciate the smaller details, who enjoy taking their time to really observe. It’s a photographer’s dream, particularly if you’re into macro. Give it a good 60-minute dive, you’ll want the time.
