BBDivers - Koh Tao

BBDivers is one of those Koh Tao sites we always recommend, especially for a relaxed afternoon dive or when the wind is blowing from the west. It’s tucked away just north of Sairee Beach, and what we love most is its mellow vibe. You can easily spend an hour meandering across the sandy bottom, spotting all sorts of characters. Keep your eyes peeled for blennies popping their heads out of little holes, and the yellowstriped cardinalfish hanging out in small groups. We often see longfin bannerfish here, their long dorsal fins trailing like banners in the gentle surge. It’s also a fantastic spot for macro, with gobies peeking from their sandy burrows and the occasional dragonfish tucked under a ledge. We've even found hedgehog pufferfish slowly trundling along. It’s not a dramatic wall dive, but the beauty is in the details, in the way the light filters through the water and illuminates the sand. Our favourite tip? Go slow. Really slow. You’ll be surprised at what you find.
