Fei Yua 9 - Nha Trang

Fei Yua 9 is a bit of a local legend for us in Nha Trang, a shallow wreck that delivers way more character than its depth suggests. We’re talking about an old fishing boat, probably from the 70s or 80s, now completely consumed by the reef. It’s only seven meters deep, so your bottom time stretches forever here, perfect for photographers or just soaking it all in. You'll fin around the skeletal remains of the hull, the wooden planks long gone, replaced by a riot of soft corals and anemones. Schools of small barracuda often hover over the deck, glinting in the sunlight that filters down, and we've seen cuttlefish here more times than we can count, often tucked into little crevices. Our favourite part? The engine room. It’s easily penetrable for certified wreck divers, just be mindful of silting. Inside, you’ll find nudibranchs crawling over the rusty machinery and tiny glassfish darting through the beams. It’s a gentle exploration, really, a peek into the past and a bustling marine apartment complex all at once. The current can pick up a bit around the bow, so keep an eye out, especially if you’re focusing on macro shots.
