About DivePlnr

DivePlnr is a free resource for planning dive trips. It answers three questions: where to dive, when to go, and what you are likely to see. It covers over 27,000 dive sites in 116 countries, monthly ocean conditions for each diving region, and marine-life records for more than 13,000 species.

Everything on the site is free to read, with no account needed. An optional account lets you save favourites and keep a dive log.

DivePlnr is not owned by or affiliated with any dive training agency (such as PADI, SSI, NAUI or BSAC), dive operator or equipment brand. We list dive centres regardless of the agency they teach with.

Dive sites, species records and ocean conditions come from open scientific and community datasets, including OBIS, GBIF, the Copernicus Marine Service and OpenStreetMap. Descriptions are drafted with the help of AI from that data. The data sources page lists every source, and the editorial policy explains how text is written and checked.

DivePlnr earns money through affiliate links to partners such as booking sites and retailers, and may show advertising. This never costs you extra and never decides which places we recommend. See the affiliate disclosure.
