    How our content is written

Descriptions of dive sites, areas, countries and dive centres are drafted with AI (Google Gemini) from our structured data: location, depth, site type, recorded species and monthly conditions. Guides and articles are written the same way.

These drafts are not individually reviewed by a diving professional before they are published. We run automated checks, for example that each description refers to the right site and area, and we fix problems we find.

    First-person descriptions

Some descriptions are written in a conversational first-person voice, such as "we love this site". That is a writing style. It does not mean a member of the DivePlnr team has dived that site or used that dive centre. We are rewriting these descriptions in a neutral voice.

    Independence

Partners and advertisers do not decide what we write or which places we recommend, and no listing or ranking is paid for. We do not currently publish sponsored content. If we do in future, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored. How the site earns money is explained in the affiliate disclosure.

    Safety and health topics

Articles about diving safety, health and equipment are general information. They are not training, medical advice or a substitute for a qualified instructor. For medical questions about diving, speak to a doctor or an organisation such as DAN (Divers Alert Network).
