CESSNA 182 - Providenciales

The Cessna 182 sits in water so shallow, you can often spot it shimmering from the boat. We’re talking two metres deep, maybe a little more at high tide, making it a fantastic spot for snorkelers and divers looking for a leisurely second dive. This isn't your typical deep-water wreck; it’s more of an archaeological treasure hunt, scattered across the sandy bottom after being sunk back in ‘71. What we love about this site is the sheer intimacy of it. You can hover right above the twisted fuselage, the single wing, and the engine block, now all crusty with coral growth. Schools of tiny silversides often pulse around the debris, and we’ve regularly seen juvenile barracuda lurking in the shade of the larger pieces. It’s an easy-going dive, perfect for photographers wanting to play with ambient light or anyone just wanting a chill experience with a cool piece of history. Definitely one of our favourite shallow wrecks in Provo, especially when you’re not in the mood for a wall dive.
