CORDION - Providenciales

Cordion isn't your typical TCI wall dive, and that's precisely why we rate it. This isn’t a pristine, intact wreck, but rather the scattered remains of a fishing vessel that met a rough end back in '77. You’ll find the bulk of her hull draped across a shallow rock spur, looking like a discarded metal blanket. It’s only 5 metres deep, max, which makes for long bottom times and great natural light. The real joy here is poking around the broken pieces. We love watching how the reef has reclaimed the twisted metal; juvenile snapper dart in and out of crevices, and we’ve spotted moray eels peeking from beneath rusted plates. It’s less about a grand ship structure and more about the micro-habitats. It’s an easy dive, perfect for photographers wanting to capture light play on the coral and metal, or anyone looking for a relaxed second dive after hitting the deeper walls.
