Pelicanos/Elephant rock - Caribbean Coast

The Sculpture Park isn't just a collection of statues; it’s a living art piece evolving with the reef. We love watching how the sculptures, particularly Jason deCaires Taylor’s original ‘Vicissitudes’ ring of children, have become integrated into the ecosystem. They’re encrusted now, and you’ll spot a Pluma anemone waving from a head or a shy Hamlet peeking from a shoulder. Look closely in the sandy patches between sculptures for Sand Stargazers, their eyes just breaking the surface, and we’ve often seen Opossum Pipefish tucked into crevices. Dive it early, before the crowds, or even better, around late afternoon for softer light filtering through the water. The maximum depth is a shallow 13 metres, so it’s a long bottom time, perfect for photography or just drifting along, observing the details. Keep an eye out for Glassy Sweepers schooling around the bigger pieces. It’s an easy, leisurely dive, great for anyone who enjoys a bit of novelty with their reef exploration, and honestly, a fantastic spot for snorkelers too.
