JIH-FENG MAN - Kenting National Park

We love a good wreck, and Jih-Feng Man delivers a solid dive for its 11-meter depth. This old fishing vessel, sitting upright since it went down in 1975, has settled in nicely. It’s a proper metal skeleton now, draped in sponges and soft corals that pulse with the surge. You can swim right through the wheelhouse, the light catching the resident lionfish tucked into corners, their fins fanned out like silent warnings. Down in the cargo holds, schools of glassfish shimmer, parting just enough for you to glide through. We’ve spotted moray eels peeking from pipes and juvenile batfish circling the mast. It’s an easy dive, perfect for photographers wanting to capture that classic wreck shot without the deep-dive pressure. Our favourite time to visit is mid-morning, just as the sun gets high enough to really illuminate the deck structure. It feels a little eerie, but in the best possible way. Just watch out for occasional strong surge, especially if there's been recent weather.
