Moheli Marine Park - Moheli
Moheli Marine Park feels different. It's not the usual dive boat scrum. Instead, it’s quiet, protected waters where you’ll often find you’re the only group around. We particularly love the gentle drift over healthy reefs, keeping an eye out for the resident green and hawksbill turtles that nest here. They’re everywhere, just cruising, unfazed by our bubbles. Come July to October, the whole vibe shifts with the humpback whales. You’ll hear them singing even before you see them, a low thrumming that vibrates through your chest. It’s truly something to be underwater and experience that. Down on the reef, we often spot the Giant Long-finned Eels peeking from crevices, and the delicate blennies are always a treat to find if you’ve got a good eye. The visibility here can be superb, letting you really appreciate the scale of the park. It’s an intermediate dive, largely due to the exposure and occasional currents, but nothing too taxing. This place suits divers who appreciate genuine tranquility and a real sense of being away from it all. You'll see turtles aplenty, potentially hear humpbacks, and encounter a good density of the smaller reef fish like Blackstriped Cardinalfish and Sneaky Wrasse. It's for those who prefer an uncrowded, natural experience over a high-octane drift.
