EPHIROL II - Anilao

Ephirol II, what’s left of the old Inaki Maru No.8, is a different kind of dive for Anilao. You’re not looking at vibrant corals here, but rather a fishing vessel that ran aground during Typhoon Olive back in ’78. It's largely broken up and spread across the shallows, making for an interesting rummage rather than a grand penetration. We often see schooling damselfish darting through the rusted metal, and the occasional moray eel peeking from a crevice. It’s a nice change of pace, good for a second dive, particularly if you’re into the historical angle or just want to explore a wreck without the deeper technical demands.
