Collins reef - Palawan

Collins Reef sits in the disputed Union Banks, a less-visited spot out in the Spratlys, meaning you’re often sharing the water only with your boat and the occasional Vietnamese fishing vessel. We’ve found the reef slopes gently, offering a decent drift over healthy hard corals that seem to thrive away from heavier boat traffic. You’ll probably spot reef sharks patrolling the deeper edges, and we’ve had good luck seeing turtles grazing along the top of the reef in the mornings. It’s a solid dive for those who appreciate a quiet reef and don’t mind a bit of a journey to get there.
