HTMS Hanhak Sattru 312, Wreck - Gulf of Thailand

The HTMS Hanhak Sattru 312 sits upright on the seabed at 24 metres, an ideal depth for less experienced wreck divers. She’s not a massive wreck, but her intact structure makes for some great swim-throughs, especially through the bridge and engine room if you’re comfortable with overhead environments. We love exploring the bow, where schools of yellowtail barracuda often hang out, shimmering in the shafts of light that pierce the Gulf’s green water. Look closely at the superstructure and you’ll spot all sorts of nudibranchs and flatworms, often in vibrant colours that really pop against the encrusting corals. Our favourite part has to be the stern gun, now completely overgrown and a fantastic hiding spot for various reef fish. This is a solid beginner-friendly wreck, offering enough to explore without being overwhelming, and usually with pretty mild currents.
