Super Divers Phuket - Similan Islands
The team at Super Divers Phuket are our go-to for liveaboard trips out to the Similans, especially if you’re looking to get certified beyond Open Water. We’ve found their instructors incredibly patient, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to master a skill in a bit of current. They specialise in getting divers through advanced courses while actually diving some of Thailand’s best sites, not just doing drills in a bay. If you’re serious about seeing the Similans and want to level up your dive skills, they’re an excellent choice. Our favourite thing about Super Divers is how they structure their trips. You’re not just a number on a crowded day boat. We've spent blissful mornings descending into a cloud of barracuda at Christmas Point, then had a relaxed lunch before an afternoon dive at Koh Bon, spotting leopard sharks tucked under ledges. The boat crews are attentive, always ready with a hot towel and a cup of tea after a dive. We’d suggest booking well in advance, particularly for peak season trips from November to April, as their spots fill up fast. The visibility during those months is generally excellent, often pushing past 25 metres, giving you perfect conditions to truly appreciate the topography of sites like Elephant Head Rock.
