ABC Dive & Snorkel - Great Barrier Reef
The team at ABC Dive & Snorkel are the real deal, particularly if you’re looking to make the Great Barrier Reef your office. As a PADI 5 Star IDC centre, they’re not just taking you diving; they’re building careers. We love that their focus on instructor development means a high standard of guiding, even for those just doing fun dives. Our favourite thing about ABC is their commitment to taking groups to the outer reef, often beyond the usual day-tripper spots. You feel the current pick up a bit out there, and the coral structures are immense, like underwater skyscrapers. On a good day, the visibility stretches so far you can see the whole reef wall dropping away into the blue. We've seen reef sharks glide past on patrol and massive potato cod eye us curiously from their coral hideouts. If you’re serious about diving the GBR and want to do it with folks who know their stuff, especially if you’re thinking about going pro, ABC is our pick. They manage to balance serious training with that relaxed Aussie dive vibe really well.
