Cow and calf - Sandy Island

Cow and Calf sits just off Sandy Island, an easy reach from Anguilla. It’s a pretty straightforward dive, a pinnacle rising from the sand, topping out around 16 metres. We usually find schools of jacks circling the main rock, and the occasional nurse shark tucked into a crevice if you look closely. It’s not a drift dive, but currents can pick up a bit around the base, so it’s best for intermediate divers comfortable with varied conditions. We often pop over here for a second dive after something deeper, a nice way to round out the morning.
