Isabella reef - Sandy Island

Isabella Reef, tucked away near Sandy Island, is a solid intermediate dive. Dropping to around 29 metres, it’s not a drift but you’ll often feel a gentle push here, so keep an eye on your dive buddy. We’ve spotted plenty of schooling fish swirling around the coral heads – think sergeant majors and the occasional horse-eye jack. It’s a good spot for a relaxed deeper dive, perfect if you’re looking to extend your bottom time and just take it all in. Definitely a site we’d recommend for those comfortable with their buoyancy, and looking for something a bit less frantic.
