Palm Beach Divers - Aruba Leeward Coast

We’ve spent a fair bit of time exploring Aruba, and Palm Beach Divers is one of those spots that really sticks with you, even if it doesn’t scream "epic wreck" or "massive drop-off." It’s a shallow, sheltered reef, fantastic for easy dives, especially if you’re looking for something calm. Our favourite thing here is the hunt for the small stuff. We’re talking Spotfin Dragonets doing their little shuffle across the sand, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot a Hawksbill turtle cruising by, completely unfazed. The real joy comes from spotting the more unusual critters like the Glory-of-the-Atlantic Cone or the tiny Guppy Strawberry Cockle tucked into the substrate. Visibility here is usually excellent, often 20 metres plus, making it a dream for photography, particularly macro. We’d suggest heading out in the morning before any wind picks up, when the water is glassier. It’s perfect for new divers getting comfortable, or experienced eyes wanting a relaxed pace and a chance to truly observe. Keep an eye out for the Tobacco Basslet, their colours really pop against the sand.
