MIAMI - Abaco
The Miami wreck sits in about 9 meters of water, a fairly shallow dive that’s perfect for a longer bottom time. It’s a dredger, sunk back in ‘74, and at 65 meters long, it’s a substantial piece of metal to explore. We’ve found the stern section particularly interesting, with some good penetration opportunities into the old engine room for those with the right training and gear. Over the decades, it’s become home to plenty of schooling fish, and we’ve often spotted nurse sharks tucked away in the shadows. It’s a good easy dive, especially on days when the wind keeps us closer to shore.
