MONSTER (PART OF) - Abaco
Monster, for us, is all about the vibe. It’s not some grand, intact vessel you swim through bow to stern. Instead, it’s a scattering of what was once a large motor vessel, spread across a shallow patch of sand at only 11 meters. We love how the individual pieces have become their own little ecosystems. You’ll weave around sections of hull and engine blocks, each one encrusted with sponges and soft corals that pulse gently with the surge. The real magic here is in the macro life and the schooling fish. We’ve spent whole dives just orbiting a particularly gnarly section of twisted metal, watching the resident snapper and grunt swirl in and out of the shadows. Look closely, and you’re bound to spot blennies peeking from crevices or a shy moray eel tucked under a plate of rust. It's a relaxed dive, perfect for photographers wanting to slow down and capture the intricate details, or anyone who just enjoys a leisurely explore without the pressure of a deeper wreck. We often pick it for our second dive of the day, when the light is softening and the reef fish really start to come alive.
