Big Whale Reef North in Andros is a nice, relaxed spot, especially if you’re just getting your fins wet or looking for an easy afternoon dive. We typically find the reef here sitting around 20 meters, making it comfortable for beginners to explore. You’ll drift past soft corals swaying with the gentle surge, and we often spot nurse sharks tucked under ledges or hawksbill turtles munching on sponges. It’s a pretty mellow dive, good for taking your time and really observing the smaller reef fish darting between the fans.
