North Pole Cave - Long Island

North Pole Cave, on Long Island, is a solid introduction to the Bahamas' cave diving. It’s not a deep dive, topping out at 29 meters, which makes it very accessible for less experienced divers looking to get into overhead environments. We’ve found the entry pretty straightforward, opening into a decent-sized cavern with good light penetration for the initial section. Further in, the darkness truly settles, so good lights are essential. You won't find schools of fish in here, but the geological formations are fascinating, with stalactites and stalagmites creating an otherworldly landscape. It's a great spot to practice buoyancy and finning in a controlled, calm environment.
