MIMI - Varadero

Dropping onto the MIMI, you’re met with a surprisingly intact motor vessel, resting upright in just 11 metres of water. It’s a compelling site, especially considering its history – a reported mutiny back in ’75, with four lives lost. We find the main deck easy to navigate, and the superstructure still offers enough shelter for schools of snapper and grunts to mill about inside. Look for the resident moray eels peeking from crevices. This site is calm and shallow, making it a good pick for newer wreck divers or anyone after a relaxed second dive.
