Sailboat Wreck - Varadero

The Sailboat Wreck off Varadero isn't some massive freighter, but it’s a charmer. We found it in about 15 metres, a wooden hull broken but still offering plenty of nooks. Nurse sharks often nap under the larger sections, and the deck beams host colourful sponges and a fair few lionfish – be mindful of those. It’s a good spot for newer wreck divers looking for a straightforward explore, or for photographers wanting to capture the interplay of light and shadow through the decaying timbers. There's a certain melancholy beauty to it, a silent testament to the sea.
