Klein Curaçao - Curaçao Southeast

Mokusiga Bay is our pick for a leisurely afternoon dive, especially if you’ve had a few punchier currents elsewhere in the Somosomo Strait. This horseshoe-shaped reef forms a neat, sheltered bay, almost like a little amphitheatre underwater. We like to drop in, drift from one side to the other, or just cruise along the walls. It starts shallow, only a meter or so, and bottoms out around 18m, though we've pushed it to 31m on a few occasions following the sloping coral. Visibility here averages a comfortable 6m, which means you’re really up close with the smaller stuff. We've seen an impressive number of species, everything from tiny Palespot Eviotas darting in the coral to hefty Honeycomb and Closed Brain Corals forming intricate landscapes. Look for the Six-line Wrasse weaving through the branches, or spot a Banded Sea Krait patrolling the ledges. It's a great spot for newer divers to build confidence, but also for experienced eyes to slow down and find the details.
