Playa Largu - Curaçao Southeast

Playa Largu, for us, is one of those spots that just keeps giving the longer you spend there. It’s got a real quiet charm compared to some of the more famous sites in Curaçao. Drop in, and you’re greeted by big, healthy grooved brain coral formations, a real pleasure to navigate through. We love drifting along, eyes peeled for the smaller stuff – this is a macro diver’s delight. We’ve had fantastic luck spotting orangespotted filefish flitting around, and the scrawled sole are practically camouflaged until they move. Keep an eye out for a curious common octopus peeking from a crevice, they’re often around. And don’t be surprised if a hawksbill turtle cruises past, completely unfazed. The snapper schools here can be impressive, too, a shimmering wall of silver. For a relaxed dive that rewards patience and a keen eye, Playa Largu is high on our list. It’s perfect for divers who prefer to slow down and really observe, rather than race from one highlight to the next.
