Ship wreck - Curaçao Southeast

The Shipwreck site, down in Curaçao’s southeast, isn’t about some grand, intact vessel. Forget bow to stern exploration. This spot is more of a scattered metal garden, a series of broken pieces that have become home to a truly impressive amount of fish. We love how the light plays through the gaps and angles of the twisted steel, especially mid-morning. It creates these shifting patterns that just highlight the sponges and corals growing everywhere. Our favourite thing here is just how much life you can find in the nooks and crannies. We’ve spent solid chunks of dives just watching the Semiscaled Gobies and Naked Blennies darting in and out of the smallest holes. You’ll definitely spot Blue Parrotfish grazing, and the Spinyhead Blennies are always a treat. Keep an eye out for Hawksbill Turtles too, often just chilling on a bigger piece of wreckage. It’s a calmer dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who likes to take their time and really observe.
