Toucari Bay - Cabrits & Northern Coast

Toucari Bay is one of those sites we always recommend for a relaxed afternoon. It’s got a mellow vibe, perfect for divers who love to take their time and really hunt for the smaller stuff. We’ve spent hours here, meticulously sifting through the mud and seagrass, and honestly, that’s where Toucari shines. Forget the big pelagics; here it’s all about the macro. We've found frogfish clinging to sponges, their camouflage almost perfect, and have spotted several varieties of blennies and gobies poking their heads from sandy burrows. Keep an eye out for the little white-eye gobies, they’re surprisingly endearing. The maximum depth of 18 meters means long bottom times, which is great because you need that extra time to find the shy chain morays or a butterbun blending into the silty patches. It’s an easy entry, typically very calm, making it a fantastic spot for newer divers to practice their buoyancy while still being interesting enough for experienced muck divers. We’d suggest going in the late afternoon; the light can be lovely, and some of the critters become more active.
