With 503+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and humpback whales - Ancones offers some of Rincon & West Coast's richest diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Ancones sits at 22 metres, making it a good intermediate dive on Puerto Rico’s west coast. You’ll typically find a good spread of reef fish here. It’s a solid option if you’re looking for a relaxed deeper dive without strong currents. We often see schooling snapper and parrotfish grazing the coral heads.
