Bulkhead Reef sits on Utila’s south side, a healthy patch of coral that shows you what this island is all about. We’ve found the dive here typically hovers around 15-20 meters, a comfortable depth for enjoying the many sponges and brain corals. Keep an eye out for the small stuff; we often spot tiny crabs tucked into crevices and the occasional nudibranch making its way across a fan. It’s a good, easy dive, perfect for a relaxed afternoon or shaking off the rust after a travel day.
