Why dive here
With 207+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, lemon sharks, seahorses, sea turtles and sperm whales - Cayo Noreste offers some of Corn Islands's richest reef diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest May, September, October.
Cayo Noreste offers a solid dive in the Corn Islands. We found a healthy coral reef, a good spot for exploring crevices and watching for the usual Caribbean suspects, parrotfish, snapper, and the occasional nurse shark cruising by. It’s a straightforward dive, generally calm, so it works well for divers looking for a relaxed exploration rather than a challenging drift.
