Great Tree Cay

Great Tree Cay is a solid choice when you're diving the Corn Islands. It’s a good example of what the Caribbean side of Nicaragua offers. You’ll drop down onto a healthy reef, often with a decent current pushing you along, which means good drift diving and plenty of fish activity. We usually spot nurse sharks tucked under ledges, southern stingrays gliding over the sand patches, and the usual suspects like grunts and snappers schooling up. Visibility can be hit or miss, but on a good day, it’s a very pleasant dive, probably best suited for those comfortable with a bit of a ride.
