Bullseye - Taveuni & Somosomo Strait
Bullseye sits off the back of Voivoi Island, a quick boat ride from Mantaray Island Resort. We usually find visibility around 20 metres here. The site is mostly a fringing reef, dropping to about 12 metres, with some sandy patches dotted with newer coral growth. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff: we often spot Bandcheek wrasse flitting between the corals, and the Eye-lash Harptail-Blennies can be quite captivating once you get your eye in. While rare, we have heard of bull shark encounters and even seen Spanish Mackerel cruise by. It’s a good spot for a relaxed dive, especially if you enjoy hunting for the less obvious residents.
