Manta Ray Island Reef - Taveuni & Somosomo Strait

Manta Ray Island Reef gives you a good chance to see its namesake if you hit the timing right, particularly during feeding season. It’s a shallower coral reef, which means more light and better colours, making it a good spot for newer divers or those who prefer longer bottom times. Beyond the mantas, you’ll find plenty of reef fish milling about the hard coral formations. It's a reliable, easygoing dive.
