The Fans - Taveuni & Somosomo Strait
The Fans lives up to its name, with large gorgonian fan corals spreading out along the reef wall. We’ve seen these particular fans grow to impressive sizes, providing shelter for smaller reef fish. It’s a pretty easy drift dive, often with a gentle current carrying you past the coral formations. This site is a good choice for newer divers looking for a relaxed experience and photographers keen on wide-angle shots of the gorgonians.
