Tutuba Point - Espiritu Santo

Tutuba Point feels like a proper Vanuatu dive, a bit of everything without being too much of anything. We love the drift along the coral slope, feeling the current gently pull you past overhangs packed with cardinalfish. It’s a good spot for spotting turtles, green and hawksbill, usually munching on the corals or just hanging out in the blue. Keep an eye out for reef sharks cruising deeper; they’re not shy here. The real highlight for us is the sheer variety of smaller stuff if you slow down and look closely. We’ve had great luck finding bigmouth gobies and bicolor blennies peeking out of their holes, and the banded maori wrasse are always putting on a show. We’d suggest going in the morning; the light hitting the slope is just gorgeous, really brings out the colours of the corals and the flashes of the parrotfish. It’s an intermediate dive, straightforward enough for most, but the current can pick up, so be ready for that. Perfect for divers who appreciate a healthy reef and don’t mind a gentle drift.
