Why dive here
With 306+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dugongs, dwarf minke whales, eagle rays and giant moray eels - Konanda offers some of Port Vila & Efate's richest wreck diving. Water sits around 29°C.
The Konanda is a small aircraft wreck sitting upright in about 26 metres of water, not far from Port Vila. It’s an easy dive, often with good visibility, making it a nice option for newer wreck divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon. We’ve seen resident moray eels peeking from the fuselage and the occasional reef shark cruising past. It’s a straightforward dive, well-suited to a second dive of the day.
