With 306+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dugongs, dwarf minke whales, eagle rays and giant moray eels - Mele Reef offers some of Port Vila & Efate's richest reef diving. Water ranges 26-29°C, warmest January, February, March.
Mele Reef offers a relaxed dive just outside Port Vila. We generally find a healthy collection of hard corals here, with plenty of reef fish flitting between them. It’s a good spot for a second dive, or for less experienced divers wanting a gentle introduction to Efate's reefs. Visibility is usually reliable, making it an easy-going afternoon out.
